This my entry for the contest "The Fae Realms" being held by Hiddenyume-stock For Detail on the image and for The Work in Progress animated GIF please go HERE The image of the Fae Tracker is from HiddenYume-stock and can be found HERE Thanks to HiddenYume and flying-down ... it was a wonderful image to work from and there was a lot of choice ... hardest part was picking which image to use! The rest of the images are my own. THE STORY It was suppose to have been a routine patrol ... just out and back ... more an opportunity for Scarkish to show off his new tack; vain bird that he was. But on the forest road there was a sense of foreboding and menace so strong you could taste it; like the miasma of death it clung to the roof of her mouth. There was no visible signs of it's source and if Scarkish could not see it then it was well and truly hidden. For in this the Raven's vanity was well founded. In the Fae Realm no creature, winged, four-footed or Fae could see as he did. He had a second sight that allowed him to discover what others could only guess was there! Now though, they were both guessing and it made them uneasy... the only thing to do was land (with all the danger being grounded presented) and see if she could hear or smell some hint of what was causing this malevolent air.
