No Safe Haven - Creation Process Flash Presentation


This is my entry for the SCHIZOPHRENIA CONTEST being held by =ImaginaryRosse and =flordelys

My image is loosely based on a number of conversations I had with a close friend when he was first slipping into the delusions and hallucinations of Schizophrenia. He had no idea what was happening and truly believed that what he was hearing and seeing was completely real.

Schizophrenia is a serious and devastating illness ... education and understanding are so important ... the more people become aware that it is not "multiple personality disorder" and learn how wide spread and cruel the illness can be, the more chance we have of saving our loved ones and friends from some of the suffering this illness causes (there is no cure but early diagnosis is helpful). The lovely image of the lady is from ~Rebecca-Parker-Stock Her stock images are wonderful! I had 4 images of hers that I could have used and they were all lovely, the hardest part was picking which one! Thank you!!!

All other images are my own ... most of the added statues (I added 7 to the original cemetery image) came from Italy (cemetary/tombs, 3 statues) with a couple from New York and London. The background is a combination of a mountain in Turkey, a texture I created, a photo of clouds and the face of a statue.



Haven't had time for a WIP but will see if I can get to it ... my computer crashed and I lost a good part of this picture so am submitting it at the last minute.
