Keeping UP

Thu Jul 9, 2009, 1:48 AM
It has been a long time for me ... I usually try to get at least one Journal up a month but between a bad back (much better now), work and life in general I have been very slow on getting things done.

I have a new image "A Little Lamp Light" [link] ... it is a simple one but I have been wanting to do something with a feel of Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World [link] . I didn't want to copy; just to get a bit of the same "look". It didn't quite work out that way but it does have something about it I like and really wanted to get something finished!

So that is about it ... I have updated my features and included a list of some interesting contests, other than that I have now spent my allotted time on the computer (physio says no more than 2 hour per session) That's all for now ... HUGS!

CONTESTS:

Dark & Weather Contest
[link] - *Lorelei-Coral

Tired of the same old-same old ... try this one on for size!

DEADLINE JULY 25TH

Sands of Time [link] - :devmizzd-stock

DEADLINE JULY 31ST

A Hard Rain [link] - *DAmusicproject

Limited to the lines in the song ... at print there are 17 lines left ...hurry before they are all gone!

DEADLINE AUGUST 23RD

Your Fantasy World [link] - =Malandante

Wonderful wide-open idea! Lots of room for your imagination to wander and lots of time to be very creative!!!

DEADLINE OCTOBER 15th

Well that's it for the contest ... just a few to tempt you (and me) with!

Now for some new features! Not too long this time ... still limited on how much time I can spend sitting ... grrrr!

I am going to feature (mostly) one artist as I think his work is Spectacular ... a visit to ~outrega's gallery is a trip into another world!

Beyond that ... if there is a beyond! Here are a few of my most recent Favourites!

And of course we can't forget the wonderful stock providers!

More to come as time permits! ;)

  • Reading: Airs Beneath the Moon - Toby Bishop
  • Watching: A little of this and a little of that
  • Playing: At being an artist

Just me taking a picture of me ... all I got was my hand and my glasses; they sit on my forehead when taking photos... that is where I push them to get them out of the way. Although half the time they end up on the ground!

No wonder I go through so many pairs
